Essex Libraries are once again delighted to partner with the Essex Book Festival, bringing an exciting programme of author events to communities across the county.

This year’s festival runs from 28 May to 28 June 2026, with library hosted events stretching from Waltham Abbey to Colchester,  including a special session at Chelmsford Prison. A photgraphy event and an Essex Book Festival children's event at Rayleigh

 The 2026 programme highlights the remarkable breadth of literary talent on offer and reflects the vital role the Essex Library Service plays as a cultural hub for local residents.
