Reserve a library item
You can reserve up to 20 items, including books, audio books, CDs and DVDs, free of charge through the library catalogue.
Search for and reserve a library item
Once you’ve found the item you want to reserve, click on the ‘Place Hold' button next to the item. If you are using a mobile or tablet device, click on the three dots next to the item to place a reservation.
If you reserve an item from The Libraries Consortium, if that item is new, it may take up to 6 months to be available for loan.
You’ll be asked to choose a pick-up location. You can cancel your reservation at any time from your account.
We will notify you by email, text message or phone when your reservation is available to collect.
If the item you want is not available you can use the request a library item form to:
- request a book that is not available in The Libraries Consortium; we shall then try to locate and request the book from another library authority outside of the consortium
- make article requests
