World Book Day Library Events

 

Special World Book Day Storytime with the Gruffalo and Friends at Colchester Library.

Join us for a magical, interactive storytelling session inspired by the beloved books of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Why not come in your favourite costume to celebrate!

Celebrate with us at Shenfield Library, with a week of bookmark design crafts and a book-themed quiz! On World Book Day (Thursday 5 March), come in fancy dress! 

 

Join us at Clacton Library for a day of themed events, including two Gruffalo story times, a themed quiz for adults and an afterschool event based on Dog man for older children.

 

Enjoy a themed craft at Chelmsford Library with staff in fun costumes!

 

School teams will join us at South Woodham Ferrers Library for a World Book Day quiz.

 

Enjoy themed events at Basildon Library with crafts, games, and a story time.

World Book Day Goes on Tour!

 

We're taking our mobile library bus on tour for World Book Day! Come and join us for lots of bookish fun, including some World Book Day tokens for you to spend.

 

Come and see us at the following locations:

 

Chelmsford: Outside the old Quadrant shop, 10am to 11.30am

Braintree: Opposite the library outside Tesco, 12.30pm to 2pm 

Witham: The Grove Shopping Centre, 3pm to 4.30pm
