Wed 18/06/2025
A new learning platform for Essex Libraries users!
This May, we’re rolling out a new free service for our library users: LinkedIn Learning!
As one of the first UK library services to launch LinkedIn Learning for its customers, we can’t wait for you all to explore the fantastic range of courses they offer.
Boasting around 60 new courses every week in seven different languages, LinkedIn Learning is a collection of over 24,000 online courses delivered by expert instructors in business, creative, and technical categories.
Upskill at work: by learning new software, brushing up on new technology, enhancing your leadership and interpersonal skills, or finding out how to apply about AI in your field.
Get started on a new career path: with LinkedIn Learning’s range of courses at different levels, from introductory to advanced. From project management to marketing, coding to design.
Channel your creative side: with courses in almost anything! Including drawing and painting, photography, game theory, social media, and even singing lessons!
Learn and grow: with courses on improving productivity and managing your wellbeing, as well as courses you can take just because you want to learn.
Whether you want to learn something new, expand your skills, find your dream role, or try something just for fun, you can start learning for free with your Essex library card.
How to Sign In
You don’t need a LinkedIn social media profile to access the courses – just visit the LinkedIn Learning portal and sign up with your Essex library card number and PIN. You can then browse and choose any or as many courses you like and complete them in your own time. There is no limit on how many courses you can do, and you can also download a certificate of completion once you finish a course.
You can also download the LinkedIn Learning app from the App Store or Google Play which will allow you to download courses for offline viewing. If you’re using the app, on the first sign-in you need to enter the Library ID which is ‘essex-gov-uk’.
