Introduction of Reservation Charges

From 22 April 2026, a £1.15 fee will apply to all adult library cardholder reservations for physical library items. This includes reservations made online, through the app, or with support from our staff. 

 

Please note that borrowing remains completely free when you pick up a book directly from our shelves. The charge only applies when you reserve an item, this is when you ask us to hold an item for you or bring it over from another library. 

 

This charge applies only to adult library cardholders. All Children, Teen and Other Concessionary cardholders will still be able to reserve items for free.
