We’re very glad to announce that Colchester Library will reopen on Monday 1 December at 9am.

 

Highlights of the reopening include:

• Redecoration from top to bottom, with new furniture, energy-saving lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning
• An exciting new Children’s Imagination and Literacy Centre, a highly interactive learning and play space for children and families, on the ground floor
• More commodious offices for the Registration Service, resulting in an improved service

Mondays 9am to 5.30pm

Tuesdays 9am to 5.30pm

Wednesdays 9am to 7pm

Thursdays 9am to 5.30pm

Fridays 9am to 5.30pm

Saturdays 9am to 5pm

Sundays 10.30am to 1.30pm

 

Please note that on Sundays we’re now open in the morning rather than the afternoon. Other opening times are as previously.

 

The mobile library will cease calling at the High Street on Friday 31 October, and from that date CM3 will cease to be a possible pick-up location for reserved items.

 

From 3 November, Greenstead, Prettygate and Wivenhoe Libraries will revert to their previous opening hours. This is to allow time to transfer the stock to the library and establish the new working arrangements.
