Library computers and WiFi

You can book a library computer session online or by going into the library. You just need a library card number to complete your booking.

Each session is:

  • 1 hour
  • Free

Please note:

  • Jobseekers can book a 2 hour session by presenting proof of jobseeking status 
  • All library computers are subject to our acceptable use policy  
  • Public computers in libraries are powered down automatically 10 minutes before closing time. Please plan your activity accordingly to avoid disappointment.

All library computers have the following Microsoft Office applications:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint


Zoomtext software is installed on all machines. This enlarges the screen display or reads text out loud.

Wireless Internet Access (WiFi)

You can bring your own device to the library and take advantage of the free WiFi. Network details should be up in the library, but if not then please ask a member of staff.

You just need to use your library card number to log on.

Use of the library WiFi is subject to our WiFi Acceptable Use Policy

Using a printer or scanner

You can print in any library and are welcome to bring in a USB memory stick.

Please note: Not all libraries have scanners
