Silver Sunday at Colchester Library

A group of cartoon elderly people in muted coloured clothing with the wording Silver Sunday written above them.
Sunday 2 October 2022
1.30pm to 3.30pm
Colchester Library

Trinity Square

This Silver Sunday event will provide an opportunity to hear from our partner organisations about what services they provide for older people, and find out more about what Colchester Library can offer you.

Join us for some Seated Yoga taster sessions throughout the day, and meet Essex Therapy Dogs to learn about what they offer!

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to talk to representatives from Independent Age and Adult Social Care about their services for older people, and hear from Kelly and Jo from Age Well East about their Befriending and Dementia services. A local solicitors company, John Fowlers, will also be there to offer advice and support for older people.

There will also be complimentary tea and coffee for you to enjoy whilst you’re talking to our partners.

This Silver Sunday event is a great opportunity to find out what Essex Library Service can offer older people. Learn more about our regular clubs and events for adults, our range of accessible book formats such as audiobooks and Large Print, and various courses offering IT skills and advice on digital banking.

Our Silver Sunday event is free of charge and open to all! Colchester Library is wheelchair accessible and has accessible bathroom facilities.
