Explore Learning tutors will coach children to develop their story-writing skills through a series of challenges and puzzles. By the end of the hour they will have created a magical story for a young book bee who needed their own unique story.
Children will undertake a journey into the jungle where they will experience ‘The Jungle Jam’ but there’s a problem…the band isn’t ready and they need you to help them!
This workshop is suitable for all 5-11 year olds whether writing comes easily or not. Our team will coach your child to use their imagination, overcome challenges and get excited about song-telling!

In our LEGO® in libraries sessions, your child will get the chance to improve their maths and English skills, while having fun playing with relatable LEGO® characters! Using LEGO® Education kits and Chromebooks, children will guide characters through compelling stories and use problem-solving, literacy and coding skills to complete each unit. This is a free, bookable event, which can be attended by up to 5 children. If the event is full, you will join a waiting list and will be informed if an additional space becomes available. Please let the library know if your child cannot attend a session, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your booking for future sessions.

Learn to knit and crochet at Hadleigh Library! We're starting a weekly club for primary aged children, where you can learn to knit and crochet with help from staff and volunteers. We'll supply the yarn and tools to get you started, just come along. Wednesdays, 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Our Youth Creative Writing Programme is for young people aged 12 to 18 who are interested in creating, improving or just sharing their work.This could be anything, from short stories to poetry. With a relaxed approach we aim to give ideas, share each other's work if they want to, and be a supportive place for those who want to create. Come along, have fun and let's get writing!
