Arty Bookworm is a series of 8 weekly sessions for children under 5 years. They offer an excellent way to support early literacy, creativity, and social engagement, underpinned by the Early Years framework.Each session includes themed story reading, a craft activity based on the story, and an opportunity to borrow a copy of the book for the week to enjoy at home. Children can immerse themselves in different themes, returning each week for a new story and craft activity.This program, which supports early learning, fosters creativity, and encourages a love of books, is ideal for parents and caregivers who want to introduce children to the joy of reading and hands on activities in a fun but structured environment.
Free event but booking is required (only book a place for each child attending, adults don't need to book).

Are you a parent with a baby under 12 months? Join us for this baby Rhymetime, meet friends and have fun with your new baby in a relaxed setting.This group is suitable for parents of children aged 0 to 12 months and runs term time only.
What are the issues you face when it comes to using digital products, applications and websites?
This course will give you the skills and confidence to tackle everyday digital and financial tasks. It consists of five sessions and is led by our trained Library 'Digital Champions' staff.
Session1: Essential digital skills
Session 2: How to use my computer or mobile phone; digital security
Session 3: NHS app; using gov.uk; online marketplace
Sessions 4 and 5: content tailored to your own individual needs
Short diagnostic tests at the beginning and end will measure your current skill level and your progress through the course.

Join Srina for an hour of gentle chair-based exercise at her seated yoga class. Classes are suitable for adults of all abilities, and cost £4 per session, payable by cash or card, either in advance or on the day. To book a place, email frinton.library@essex.gov.uk, or pop in and speak to staff.
In our LEGO® in libraries sessions, your child will get the chance to improve their maths and English skills, while having fun playing with relatable LEGO® characters! Using LEGO® Education kits and Chromebooks, children will guide characters through compelling stories and use problem-solving, literacy and coding skills to complete each unit. This is a free, bookable event, which can be attended by up to 5 children. If the event is full, you will join a waiting list and will be informed if an additional space becomes available. Please let the library know if your child cannot attend a session, otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your booking for future sessions.
