Storytimes for children and families

Most Essex libraries now have at least one storytime a month for children and their families, on a Saturday or Sunday. Many libraries are running them more frequently.

This helps to fulfil two aims of our library plan, Everyone’s Library Service 2022-2026. It adds to our exciting programme of events and activities, and it supports children to be ready for schools and improves their reading.

Not only that. This winter there are also special BookTrust storytimes at every library, where families can vote for their favourite book for sharing.

And of course, we continue to provide Baby and Toddler Rhymetimes at all our libraries.
