Library Card Expiry Dates

Calendar on a table surface next to an hourglass containing blue sand
16 July 2021

To make sure we have up to date contact details for our customers, library cards are set to expire every two years. To extend your membership you need to visit a library with proof of address and speak to a member of staff.

If your card has expired, you will not be able to use many library services. This includes logging into your account to renew items on loan.

Many cards have expired over the course of the last year as routine extensions haven't taken place due to lockdown.

Some cards have already been extended until later in the year. However we recommend checking the expiry date of your card now. If it will expire soon, please speak to staff on your next visit to a library to get it extended.

To check the expiry date of your card, log in to your account on the catalogue and go to the Personal Information tab. There you will see a field for ‘Date privileges expire':
