01 February 2021

February is LGBT+ History Month and the theme this year is Body, Mind, Spirit. The aim is to ‘educate out prejudice and make LGBT+ people visible in all their rich diversity’. We hold a diverse range of LGBT+ fiction and information books and have put together collections for adults, young adults and children, which can be found on the diverse reads page of our website. You can still reserve items from our catalogue to collect from libraries once they can reopen. Look out for some fabulous displays when you return!

Many titles are available to download from BorrowBox as e-books or e-audiobooks, free with you library card. To find them, simply click on ‘advanced search’ and then select the genre, ‘Gay, Lesbian & LGBT Fiction’. You can then narrow your search by changing the target audience to either adult, young adult or children.
