Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) is Saturday 27 January and the theme is The Power of Words. The power of the words in accounts of survivors of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides inform and so help us to challenge hatred and persecution.  Reserve and borrow a book from our HMD 2018 list.

We also invite you to visit a HMD display in 30 libraries; find out here which libraries are staging a display. You will have an opportunity to respond by writing a postcard to a genocide survivor, and collecting a sticker to show your support. You can also pick up a free booklet from any library explaining more about how genocides arise, and the work of the Holocaust Memorial Trust.
