The annual Essex Poetry Festival is visiting ten libraries this autumn. For more details visit the library events page.

Audiences at last year’s festival really enjoyed the opportunity to listen to poets reading aloud from their work, and to hear about their inspirations and how they write.

‘The experience of having poetry read to us in an unpretentious and personal style, hearing about the genesis of (the poet’s) verse … was a real eye opener.’
Dunmow, 2017

At Colchester Library, Colchester Mosaic in association with Mindfizz will present poetry to promote mental well-being. Other venues are Wickford, Billericay, Laindon, Chelmsford, Halstead, Galleywood, Burnham, North Melbourne and Hadleigh libraries.
