Winter Reading Challenge

Essex Library Services are excited to bring you the Winter Reading Challenge.

Come and meet the Animals of Snowy Wood. Connie the fox and her friends need to help Fraser the squirrel get a good night's sleep, and your little ones can help!

All they need to do is read six books and climb to the top of our reading tree. From Saturday 27 November, they can collect their giant tree bookmarks from any Essex library. They’ll receive a stamp for every book they read and if they manage to read six books by Saturday 19 February, they’ll receive a gold star sticker

Everyone who signs up will be entered into a prize draw to win some fantastic prizes, including signed books and days out.

Watch the start of Fraser's story on our Youtube channel.

Check out our social media to see what the animals of Snowy Wood get up to and send us your book recommendations for Fraser.

We will be telling more of Fraser's story every week so follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebookto find out if he can finally get some sleep.
