Read With Me Under a Tree…

20 February 2017

Join Essex Libraries, Country Parks and the Talk, Listen, Cuddle Campaign for a celebration of rhymes, books and the great outdoors.

The project aims to encourage parents to enjoy reading with their children anywhere. There are activity packs that parents can borrow – free of charge – from the 6 country parks in Essex. They contain a book, activity sheet and den building kit that they can use in the park.

Alternatively you can find ideas for wonderful books to share in your local outdoor space and activities to try on our Family Reading Activities page.

During March there will be outdoor themed Baby and Toddler Rhymetimes taking place at selected libraries across the county and events at selected Country Parks

• Great Notley Country Park – Monday 20 March 10 – 11am
• Weald Country Park – Thursday 23 March 10 – 11am
• Hadleigh Country Park – Tuesday 28 March 10 – 11am
• Thorndon Country Park – Friday 31 March 10 – 11am

Book your place for one of these free events (car parking charges apply at Country Parks) and enjoy reading together in the great outdoors.

Please come dressed warmly for the outdoor sessions and prepared for messy play.
