Come along and meet local poet Derek Adams. You’ll experience live poetry readings and get a chance to discuss his poetry, gaining a real insight into the creative process.

Derek was born in Walthamstow, London, and lives in Stansfield, Suffolk. Widely published in the UK and abroad, his poems have been featured in Ambit, Magma, Rialto, Smith’s Knoll & many others. He was BBC Wildlife Poet of the Year 2006. He has published three collections: Postcards to Olympus (2004), Everyday Objects, Chance Remarks (2005) and Unconcerned But Not Indifferent - the Life of Man Ray (2006). Did I Hear That (2012) was a creative project with Royal Philharmonic Society exploring music as a source of inspiration.

Derek has published short stories, and is also an award-winning photographer.
