December’s exhibition at Colchester Library and Community Hub is a collection of mainly lino cuts, some collographs and monotype by Victoria Gamble.
She says “I was the person in the school classroom who was not good enough to do art, relegated unhappily to washing pots in the corner!”
Now many years later she has found creativity, loving all forms of art but particularly printmaking. Enjoying the thrilling moment when you peel away the paper to reveal the image that may have taken days to prepare.
Victoria believes that art healed and enhanced her life bringing light in darker times and wishes to share this with others.
