Come along and meet local poet Mervyn Linford. You’ll experience live poetry readings and get a chance to discuss his poetry, gaining a real insight into the creative process.

Mervyn has been writing poetry for more than four decades. His work has been widely published in magazines, including The Essex Countryside Magazine, The London Magazine, The Countryman and The Independent. He has been editor of Littoral magazine. He has published 11 collections of poetry, including Autumn Manuscript (2001), The Beatitudes of Silence (2003) and Credo (2017), and his readings have been broadcast on both local and national radio. His Collected Poems are due out in late September. He has been a member of the Southend Poetry Group for over twenty years.

Free event, no need to book.

This is one of the many Essex Poetry Festival events happening in Essex Libraries this autumn.
